Bogena Intensive is a colouring agent for the red colour of red-factor birds: coloured canaries, but also linnets, goldfinches and other birds with red in their plumage.
The colour is fixed in the feathers that are growing at that moment. That is why you give it during the moult and the breeding season; a feather that is already there no longer changes colour.
You can give it in two ways: mixed through egg food or dissolved in lukewarm drinking water.

How often should I refresh it?
Refresh the coloured egg food or drinking water twice a day during the moult and breeding season. Moist egg food spoils quickly, so only prepare what your birds eat in one day.
What is the difference with lutein?
Lutein yellow 250 gr strengthens the yellow colour, Bogena Intensive the red. Each is meant for a different type of bird.
Is there anything I should keep in mind?
Every bird has its own metabolism and condition, and use is at your own responsibility. If you are unsure about your birds’ health, ask an avian vet.
